DAY 01

COLOMBO

 

After you exit the Bandaranaike International Airport, a Kingfisher Representative will take you to a luxurious and comfortable vehicle and drive you to Colombo – which will be your first stop for this Adventure Tour in Sri Lanka.

DAY 02

SIGIRIYA

 

The next morning, you will embark on a 4-5 hour journey to Sigiriya and visit the nearby Dambulla Cave Temple first. This is a minor climbing activity where you get to explore creative Temples built inside caves in the ancient era.

 

Prepare to "Get Wild" on a 3 Hours Jungle Safari, Shift to a 4x4  Jungle Jeep and get inside Minneriya National Park to see herds of Elephants and many Wild Animals

DAY 03

SIGIRIYA

 

Climb the 5th Centure Lion Rock,

According to the ancient Sri Lankan chronicle the Culavamsa, this site was selected by King Kasyapa (477 – 495 CE) for his new capital. He built his palace on the top of this rock and decorated its sides with colourful frescoes. On a small plateau about halfway up the side of this rock he built a gateway in the form of an enormous lion. The name of this place is derived from this structure The capital and the royal palace was abandoned after the king's death. It was used as a Buddhist monastery until the 14th century. Sigiriya today is a UNESCO listed World Heritage Site.It is also declared by UNESCO as the eighth wonder of the world.It is one of the best preserved examples of ancient urban planning.

Head towards Matale, the pitstop for trekking at the gorgeous Knuckles Mountain Range.

Visit a spice garden, where smells of cinnamons, pepper, cardamom, nutmeg and mace overwhelm the senses and the visitors are provided an insight into an age old industry of spice production, which attracted many a European and Asian merchants to the ports of ancient Sri Lanka.

KITULGALA
